The Labyrinth

The lines on her lips like a labyrinth
That no one could escape.

She told lies to people like it was her fate.

She never thought they’d figure her out,
Too complex to ever tell.

If only they knew the complexity was fake,
They fell right under her spell.

She hid from the truth,
Not wanting to be simple.

But if she had really loved herself,
She’d have let the truth help her.
